Graduate students from our laboratory presented their research at the 2024 1st International Conference on Robotics, Engineering, Science, and Technology (RESTCON 2024), held at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) in Thailand on February 17-18, 2024. Two of the students, Tan Chi Jie and Rut Yatigul, won the Best Presentation Award.
This first international conference was held to commemorate the 15th anniversary of international exchange between our university and KMUTNB, the 65th anniversary of KMUTNB’s founding, and the opening of our university’s newly renovated satellite office.
Following keynote speeches by professors from our university and KMUTNB, a total of 47 research presentations were given across four sessions, with approximately 110 participants.
At the closing ceremony, it was announced that our university will host the next RESTCON in 2026.
The presentation titles are as follows:
・Tan Chi Jie: 3D Semantic Mapping based on RGB-D Camera and LiDAR Sensor in Beach Environment
・Rut Yatigul: Enhancing Indoor Mobile Robot Localization through the Integration of Multi-Sensor Fusion Algorithms
